OAP slams Tiwa Savage, says she only shouts and can’t sing like Yemi Alade

OAP Misi slammed Tiwa Savage during a talk show on Hot FM which had Yemi Alade as guest. She claimed that the singer and mother of one only shouts during her performances.
 She made the statement as she praised Yemi Alade whom she said is vocally better than Tiwa Savage.
In another discussion during the interview, Yemi Alade stated that she is in the same category as Wizkid and Davido who are seen as the brightest stars to have come out of Africa in recent times.
 She said:

“I respect everybody, we all inspire each other in this industry… there is actually no number one because your top five artistes in Nigeria that are the biggest in Africa can shut down the exact same capacity. “The same capacity Wizkid holds down in Africa, I hold it down, the same capacity Davido holds down in Africa, I hold it down, the same venues, we all shut it down. “So there is no number one, and that is the truth but not everybody will agree to that, people will say Yemi shut up but that is the truth. Why don’t we go ask the promoters, the people who know the numbers?”

Supermodel Halima Aden has come a long way. Halima Aden is a Somali-American fashion model. She is noted for being the first woman to wear a burkini and hijab in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant, where she was a semi-finalist. She was born and raised at Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, she relocated to America with her mother at the age of seven.

She made her debut at the New York Fashion Week for Yeezy Season 5. She later served as a preliminary and telecast judge of the Miss USA 2017 pageant. She has since walked for numerous designers, including Maxmara and Alberta Ferretti. She has also participated in the 2016 Milan Fashion Week and London Modest Fashion Week. Aden posed for American Eagle and British Glamour, and has a CR Fashion book cover.
   Aden was the first hijab-wearing model to walk international runways. In June 2017, she became the first hijab-wearing model on the cover of Vogue Arabia. She also became the first hijab-wearing model on an Allure cover, for their July 2017 issue. She recently became the first woman to feature on the cover of British Vogue wearing a hijab.

At 20, she is now gracing global runway shows.

In June, she visited the Kakuma camp for the first time since she left. Last week she was appointed a Unicef Ambassador.
Before you got your major break, you used to work as a housekeeper?

Yes, I did housekeeping for two years. For me I wanted to get my foot to hospital one way or another, so I applied for housekeeping and did it for two years.

Actually it’s funny because I was in housekeeping and doing modeling at the same time. The first six months of being a model I also kept my job for job security reasons. I did not know if it was going to go well or not do so well so it was my backup plan and I also liked my job.

From street to school: Joseph the plantain seller passes entrance exam and set to Begin school

10-year-old Joseph, the boy who was photographed dozing off while hawking plantain late at night has started school after passing his entrance exam in flying colours.

Though public schools in his state of origin – Akwa Ibom – is free, the former plantain seller was enrolled in a private school so he could get quality education.



Williams Uchemba who posted on his IG page that Joseph has passed his acceptance exams and has began school, wrote;

“I was just informed that Joseph passed his acceptance exam and has resumed school, the principal said she was shocked at the speed he answered the questions and got them right..I was told the government schools is free but I realized that the state of the govt school was not really impressive and conducive for kids to learn effectively, so I decided to put him in a private school where I believe he will get the best for now…We’ve attended to his mothers hospital issue and the doctor said she will be discharged this week..how can we claim they are future of tomorrow when we destroy their future with our own hands…Joseph is a great leader( I can tell) and in few years you will say I said so but he is one out of many leaders on the streets of Nigeria and Africa so let’s get these our young leaders off the roads and put them in class rooms, because the boys and girls they are today will determine the men and women they will become tomorrow.. Movie producers can no longer afford me _Jim lyke

Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, has stated that movie producers can no longer afford his fees and that is why he is no longer seen in many films these days.
The Nollywood lover boy said, “I have not been away, it is the producers who cannot afford me. So, I know my worth. But I have been busy creating opportunities and jobs for Nigerian youths so that we all can live better lives,” he said.

He added that he always interpreted his roles professionally and would still act if he got the right pay.

Speaking on the notion that the present crop of actors lacks creativity and talent, Iyke said, “It is wrong to say today’s artists lack productivity and talent. When the likes of Ramsey Nuoah, Emeka Ike and I were acting, that was what was said about us as well, but I did not let it bother me. We learnt on the job and we got better with time. So, I think they will also get better with time,” he noted.

Well, I’d say music made me take a break.

Many are surprised to hear that you have ‘repented’ and no longer flaunt your cleavages anyhow, how true is that?

I repented long time ago. I wear what’s proper now. I wear whatever suits me and also makes me comfortable.

You were mocked some time ago for ‘claiming’ your friend’s pregnancy, how did that make you feel?

Well, that wasn’t mockery, it was my pregnancy too. I was part of the plan for the scripture to be fulfilled.

How then do you handle critics?

I handle critics well and I adjust. No time is late to learn.

Are you planning to marry soon or do you mind being one baby-mama?

Your question is funny and I can decide not to answer you. But I choose to. Marriage comes when it comes. I’m not bothered about it. And if by any way, he shoots and I get pregnant, it’s a big congratulation to us then.

What’s your kind of man?

My kind of man must be spirit-filled, a man that fears Jehovah God. There’s nothing more attractive to me than a man that loves God. He must make me laugh, a good sense of humour is very pleasant, he must be a fine dresser and must smell good.

Could you marry an actor or a comedian?

Yes I can. But I don’t like lousy men. I don’t like a man that picks or blows his nose anyhow especially in the public. I love a man that I can fart in his presence and he will tell me, ‘well done, Princess’. He can fart too that’s okay. But too much of everything is bad oh.

So, is that man in your life right now?

Yes, of course.

What is you favourite food?

My favourite food is beans and afang soup. So, when I’m home, I’ll be indoors. I don’t do cinemas. I prefer to be indoors with my man. I have a good TV at home. I buy popcorn and Fanta then switch off the light. No cinema can give me that kind of pleasure.

What do you like most about your man?

He treats me like I am the only woman on earth and he loves God.

Hope he doesn’t feel jealous seeing you kiss and cuddle on the screen?

Well, he feels jealous sometimes. But he knows it’s an act and he trusts me.

What are your unforgettable experiences as an actor?

One was when a guy tapped my buttocks. I can’t forget that day. I wanted to remove my heels and chase him. But the actress in me held me back. If not, I don’t know what extent I would have gone to teach him a lesson.

Are your butts your most cherished body part as some think?

No. To me, I don’t think so. Every part of my body is.

You are a very curvaceous lady, would you insure your body for a certain amount of money?

I’m not into such things. I might though, I just honestly don’t know yet.

The majorly all your colleagues are into movie productions, are you planning that too?

Well, for now I would say no.

What are your dressing rules?

I love dressing how I want to be addressed. I dress according to the occasion.

Can you say you are a fulfilled professional?

I don’t have everything I want right now but I’m grateful and I’m content. I don’t have it all, but I am good.

Lots of celebrity marriages are crashing; doesn’t that worry or scare you from trying out your luck?

It’s not only celebrity marriages that crash. It’s everywhere. And no it doesn’t bother me or worry me. In fact it makes me stronger and reminds me that when I finally marry I must remain married because there are wolves out there waiting to devour it.

Where do you actually see the Anita Joseph brand in a few years?

That’s when I would have moved to the permanent site.

Ronaldo agrees to join Juventus?

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly agreed to sign for Juventus.

According to O Jogo, the Portugal international will join the Italian champions following reports that they have triggered his €100m (£88m) release clause.

The Old Lady are said to be willing to hand Ronaldo a four-year contract worth €120m (£101m).

Earlier reports suggest that the 33-year-old recently turned down the chance to sign a new contract with Real after growing disillusioned with life at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo's former employers Manchester United were originally as the favourites to sign him when his club future was cast into uncertainty.

Manchester United sign new goalkeeper

Manchester United have signed Lee Grant from Stoke City.

“Moving to Manchester United has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember,” Grant told the club’s official website.

“This was an opportunity that I couldn’t let pass and I’m thrilled to become a part of such a historic club. I’ve enjoyed every moment of my career so far and I’m now ready to continue learning and improving alongside some of the best players in the game. But at the same time, I intend to use my experience to help the team whenever possible.

“I want to say a huge thank you to those close to me who have supported me along my journey so far. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates and giving everything possible for the club in the upcoming season.”

Grant, 35, previously had two spells with Derby County and has also played for Burnley and Sheffield Wednesday.

He impressed United boss Jose Mourinho in October 2016, but has made only three league appearances for the Potters last season.

Grant will however become third-choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford, behind David De Gea and Sergio Romero.
